The Collab 2026 is inviting submissions for workshop abstracts from organisations, services, and teams to deliver interactive workshops as part of the conference program.

This is a new addition to The Collab to increase opportunities for active learning, skills development, and deeper engagement beyond conference presentation formats. We anticipate offering between three (3) and six (6) workshops, subject to the number and quality of abstracts received. Workshops may be offered in either 30-minute or 70-minute (with 10-minute break) formats.

new for 2026: workshop expressions of interest

Learning Outcomes: Workshop abstracts must include between one (1) and three (3) clear learning outcomes, outlining what participants will know, understand, or be able to do as a result of attending the workshop.

Eligibility and Alignment: Workshop abstracts are welcomed from organisations, services, teams, and collaborative partnerships aligned with the Collab 2026 theme: Our Wisdom. Our Voices. Our Future. Further details regarding workshop selection, scheduling, and expectations will be provided following the abstract review process.

Thinking about an uplifting experience at the Collab 2026
We are all aware that there are intense issues of disaster and conflict in our world and the many ways these are impacting us. Upholding health, including mental health, is a human right, and disasters and conflicts can impact access to healthcare. We thank every presenter for bringing to this event an intention to contribute well to humanity and specifically for the mental health and wellbeing of our society. At the Collab we are a diverse community gathered, and we ask also that as each person prepares a presentation, we all consider with compassion how the important ideas and perspectives we share might land in the sight and hearing of others, aiming for a safe conference experience.

Workshops should be interactive and practical in nature and may include (but are not limited to) topics within the mental health space such as:

  • Workforce wellbeing and self-care
  • Professional development and capability building
  • Clinical mental health nursing practice
  • Leadership development across nursing and lived experience roles
  • Innovative workforce models and approaches
  • Supporting sustainable and inclusive mental health workplaces
